Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis on Friday announced an increase in the minimum wage to 830 euros per month as of April 1, 2024. The prime minister made the announcement during a meeting of the cabinet.
This is the fourth increase in the minimum wage, which is now increasing by another 50 euros, since New Democracy became a government in 2019. The increase will also have an effect on allowances and other benefits.
"Yesterday's vote in parliament, but mostly the three-day debate that preceded the roll-call vote, gave many answers to those that watched it," said the premier, addressing the Cabinet meeting.
