New Democracy holds strong lead, PASOK surges to second place in latest Metron Analysis Poll

New Democracy (ND) remains firmly in the lead, with a significant 14.1-point advantage and nearing the 30% threshold, according to the latest nationwide poll by Metron Analysis for Mega TV.

The poll shows a dramatic rise in support for Pasok, which has vaulted into second place with 15.7%, while Syriza continues its decline, dropping to fifth place with a single-digit percentage of 9.5%. The poll also highlights the remarkable rise of the newly formed "Voice of Reason" party, which has climbed to sixth place with 5.4%.

Meanwhile, the far-right Greek Solution party solidifies its presence withconsistent double-digit support. In the vote estimate, ND holds 29.8% (slightly down from 30.4% in June), Pasok surges to 15.7% (up from 12.9%), Greek Solution secures 10.9%, the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) gains 9.7%, and Syriza drops further to 9.5%.

Following them are "Voice of Reason" with 5.4%, Plefsi (Course for Freedom) at 5.3%, Niki (Victory) with 4.4%, and New Left at 2.6%. In terms of voting intention, ND leads with 22%, followed by PASOK at 11.6%, Greek Solution at 8.1%, KKE at 7.2%, while Syriza continues its slide, now at 7%. "Voice of Reason" rises to 4%, with Plefsi closely behind at 3.9%.

The poll also shows that 11.8% of voters remain undecided. A substantial 71% of respondents believe the country is heading in the wrong direction, while only 23% feel it is on the right track.

Within Pasok, voter interest in the upcoming leadership election is lukewarm. When asked about their likelihood of voting, 52% said they definitely would not participate, 15% were unlikely to vote, 13% confirmed they would vote, and 16% said it was probable they would head to the polls on October 6. Economic concerns dominate public sentiment, with inflation and the overall economy cited as the country's most significant problems.
